Ickle Bubba XL Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want an easy-to-use buggy that has enhanced features. The travel system comes with an adjustable carrycot that can be folded flat for infants as well as an adjustable rear and forward facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a really impressive buggy, and it's easy to understand why it has been awarded so many praises from customers. It's incredibly light - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg - and it's also super-easy to put together. I was able to get it up and running in just five minutes - which is amazing considering that it includes attaching fabric for the carrycot.

The seat is wide and comfortable for Annie, who is 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to use. There's plenty of space in the basket too, and I love the fact that it has a zip-up pocket in the handle bar so that you can keep your keys and phone safe!

The handlebar is a bit low, which may be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in soft, supple leather-like material that is easy to clean.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for active parents who are eager to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels can be used on field and forest paths. The front wheel is lockable and can be rotated to increase the versatility. It also comes with a padded 5-point safety harness as well as a front bar to keep your little one secure on all journeys and the parking brake reliably prevents the stroller from moving while you rest. The comfortable seat is simple to recline to a lying position, and the canopy opens up with netting to ensure maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to fit mom or dad.

If you're planning an easy jog or a longer hike The Runner will be there to accompany you on your journeys with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise a bump-free ride. The front wheel can be locked for greater stability on narrow streets and congested sidewalks and the stroller folds easily to fit in car boots and storage spaces.

Some parents have reported that the Runner 2 to be a bit harder to navigate than its predecessor and the locking system is less user-friendly (requiring two buttons on each side of the push bar). The handlebar is a little higher than the ones of competitors', so it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms but overall, it's an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller that is worth considering for active families.

Red Kite Push Me Pace

Red Kite's Pace is a fantastic product from the budget-friendly British brand. They are known for their simple, well-designed products that are essential for parents. It's their newest and most expensive addition to their bargain lightweight stroller line. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat-compatible, so you can use from birth.

The new Pace has some fantastic design features, like rose-gold hues on the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which really set it apart. The grey, tan and cream fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are super fashionable and there's an option to add an coordinating handle for the cover and bumper bar as well.

The stroller seat is used from birth up to 22kg. It converts easily to a two-in-one reversible position, either facing the parent or world-facing. The stroller seat features several lie-back positions, plus soft padded legs rests, and an extendable sun canopy that has zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and a retractable visor.

When folded when folded, the Pace measures 56 inches x 43cm and 32 inches, which makes it suitable for hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. It's also simple to fold down, using two buttons on either side of the handlebar that you can click into and pop up.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis features a shorter wheel width which makes it easier to maneuver than its predecessor. I put it to the test with my two kids - a toddler and an eight-week old - across rough terrain, grassy woodland walks and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels, which measure 22cm or 30cm in size are able to handle different terrains. They also come with a handy flap that can open or closes to let more air to circulate should you need it, which is a nice feature. It's a bit larger than some pushchairs, but it does not feel heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat can be washed by machine, and the faux leather frame and grips are easy to clean. It's also quieter than other pushchairs, and I was comfortable in the city streets. It comes with accessory points so you can attach parasols and footmuffs along with changing bags, snack trays, and even snack tray. The hood can be used to block the elements of wind and rain, but it's not waterproof. The single pram is able to be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) which allows your child more leg room. The bassinet took about 20 minutes to put together and it took about the same amount of time to convert it into a seat.
